Getting The Most From Your Bait

Exterminex highly palatable bait containing attractants and feeding stimulants will work in every situation if you follow the manual. To ensure you are getting the most from your bait it is vital to inspect the property first. Identifying hot spots where termites are active. This enables correct placement. Placing bait upon areas of damage does not necessarily mean the termites are there. They may have been and gone.

Step 1

Inspect the property. Using noninvasive tools such as thermal, radar and listening devices will assist with detecting active areas without disturbing the termites. Images below represent a termite nest or bivouac on thermal and also movement on termite radar.

 

Step 2

Mix the bait as per Exterminex accreditation manual, Ensuring you use gloves.

Step 3

Place baits upon termite activity. In this instance, noninvasive tools identified intense activity in an area where your eyes may not have. The Exterminex baits can be double stacked to allow twice the amount of bait per location. Monitor every 2 weeks. It is not uncommon for Exterminex bait to be consumed within 1 – 2 weeks.
